How Long Has Resurgence Been Around?

Resurgence Brewing Company first opened its doors in June 2014 at our original location on Niagara Street in Buffalo, New York. As we grew, so did our home. In 2019, we moved into the historic, renovated E.B. Holmes Machinery building on Chicago Street, where we've continued to serve craft beer, great food, and memorable experiences ever since.

Today, our two-story Buffalo brewery and restaurant is a popular destination for casual dining, brunch, private events, weddings, banquets, and gatherings of all sizes.

In 2026, we reached another major milestone by opening our first out-of-state location in Fort Myers, Florida, bringing the Resurgence experience to an entirely new community while staying true to our Buffalo roots.

What was the building before?

Abandoned and about to fall down! Originally it was the home to E&B Holmes Machinery. The revolutionized the barrel-making industry by patenting the design and manufacturing of machinery used to mass produce barrels.

Looking for something to drink? We proudly serve a variety of gluten-free ciders from Blackbird Cider Works, along with cocktails and other beverage options.

If you’re driving, we also offer a large free parking lot, so it’s simple to stop in, enjoy a meal and drinks, and get to your event without the stress of downtown parking.

Pretty much anything you can dream up...we’ve got space and flexibility to make it happen.

Our second floor event space is ideal for weddings, including both ceremonies and receptions, as well as private parties, large celebrations, and special gatherings. We also offer a dedicated conference room that works well for corporate meetings, team outings, and smaller private events.

In addition, we provide off-site catering options so you can bring our food and beverage experience to your location.

How do I get upstairs?

Once you enter the building, walk straight through the taproom and you’ll find a staircase that leads directly up to the second floor.

If you prefer or need an alternative option, an elevator is also available just to the left when you come into the main lobby.

Both options will bring you up to our second floor event and dining space comfortably and easily.

What is your Dog Policy?

Dogs are welcome in our outdoor beer garden! It’s a great spot to relax outside with your pup while enjoying a drink and some food.

For safety and in accordance with New York State regulations, pets are not permitted inside any food service areas, including our indoor taproom and restaurant spaces.

Service animals are always welcome throughout the property.

Do you sell Kegs?

Yes! We offer both sixtels and half kegs of our craft beer, depending on availability.
