Who We Are

We work hard, but we also have fun. Heck, we have fun while working hard. 

Everyone at Resurgence Brewing Co. Has one thing in common: We love been and we love RBC. That’s why we all start early and work late, because we’re dedicated to making great, consistent, creative beers and providing a great beer experience. It’s simple: If you’re invested in your product, your work is fun. That’s why you’ll often find us hanging out around the taproom after our work is done, just because we love it here and we love each other. Feel free to say hello!

We believe in quality. 

While much of our beer is unique and experimental, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. We don’t send something out to the market unless we’re confident it’s as good as we can get it. Our brewers are trained professionals with a passion for the craft, and we hold monthly trainings to make sure each member of our staff – from the guy who sweeps the floors to the taproom manager and everyone in between – is learning about our craft.

We’re committed to creativity. 

You may have noticed some of our flavors lie outside the realm of the ordinary. There’s our Loganberry Wit, with that Crystal Beach and Aunt Rosie’s flavors we all remember from our childhood; our vanilla cappuccino pumpkin ale that’s reminiscent of a nice, spiced pie; and we can’t forget our Sponge Candy Stout, made with real sponge candy from Watson’s. Our brewers are creative guys, and they love playing with tastes to see what translates from plate to pint. That’s where our experimental brews come from, many of which become favorites. Sometimes we discover a hit, sometimes we head back to the drawing board. Let us know if you love one of our one-offs – it just may make it to our year-round menu.

We are always happy to talk about what we do when you’re not around, how we make the delicious beer you enjoy when you are here at 55 Chicago St. Don’t ever be afraid to approach us and ask questions about our brewing process, the beer itself, our taproom and atmosphere – or whether we’re Star Wars or Star Trek fans. Everyone at RBC is passionate about our product and a lot of other things, too. (We have lots of opinions, promise.) RBC is a place to make friends over a pint or two, so don’t be shy!
